Es el mercadillo mas visitado de todo el mundo. En él, artistas y diseñadores venden todo tipo de cosas.
En 1973 la dirección del club de vacaciones "Punta Arabi", le ofreció a los hippies vender sus productos artesanales.
Desde ese año se celebra este mercadillo todos los miércoles en el noroeste de la isla.
Al principio el mercadillo sólo tenia 6 puestos: Maggie que hacia unos pasteles excelentes, una señora de Formentera vendia jerseys tejidos a mano con la lana de sus obejas, un chico joven vendia cachorritos, niños que cambiaban juguetes, una persona vendia joyas que venian de la lejana India, y todo esto lo adornaban con el buen sonido de violines, guitarras y jam.
Hoy en dia, este famoso mercadillo se ha convertido en el metodo de subsistencia de muchas familias ibizencas.
Es un lugar obligado de paso en la isla.

It is the most visited market worldwide. In it, artists and designers sell all kinds of things.
In 1973 the direction of the holiday club "Punta Arabi," offered the hippies sell their handicrafts.
Since then this market is held every Wednesday in the northwest of the island. At first the market only had 6 posts: Maggie to some excellent cakes, a Madame of Formentera was selling hand-knit sweaters from the wool of their sheeps, a young boy was selling puppies, children toys changed, a person was selling jewelry that came from India, and all this was adorned with the good sound of violins, guitars and jam.
Today, this famous market has become the method ibizencas many households.
